Merry Christmas.

The most comforting thing about traditions is knowing that no matter how far apart we all are, at some time during the day, some one will be doing some of the exact same things you are doing.

Enjoying Christmas Gifts.

7 Days till Christmas.

For the first time in 25 years I was upset that is was suposed to snow. But an afternoon surrounded by the sweet smells of chocolate goodies mingling seductively with the savor scents of veggie soup and garlic bread soon won me over and I gave myself into the beauty of the snow day.

Thursday Highlights.

She played quietly in her room all by herself. She played for hours. No matter what else happened, that was something to smile about.

Back from vacation and the finished Birthday Doll.

We've been home from vacation since Saturday. I haven't posted though since Hubby was off work until today. We had an amazing three day weekend snuggling on the sofa, watching TV, and just hanging out. I also finished the birthday doll.

The poncho and scarf will be birthday gifts from Aunt Sarah, since knitting scares me.

You can hardly tell where Abi Bear has already taken a blue ink pen to her face!

I love her hair!!!

Sorry for the short post today. Still trying to get back into the swing of real life. Hope you all have a great week.

On Vacation

I haven't been posting much since Hubby, Bear, Goose, and I are all on vacation in Maryland spending some time with my parents. We got here Friday night and spent all day Saturday and Sunday celebrating Mom and Daddy's 40th wedding anniversary. All in all loads of fun. Monday we went to the apple orchard, and today Hubby and I took Goose to the outlet mall while Nana/Mom watched Bear. All in all we found some great deals. The best find however was at Crate and Barrel. They had amazing fabric on sale for 4.50 a yard (down from 32.00 a yard). While I was waiting to get my fabric cut Hubby saw a bin full of fabric remnants we thought were 98 cents a piece so I picked out five or six pieces. When we got to the counter it was 98 cents per pound!  I will leave you with some pictures my amazing sister.

Sweet Moments.

So many times life is overwhelming. Full of situations I can do nothing to fix. I'm struggling against feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. It is amazing how much a simple trip to the Farmer's Market can up lift a mood. Watching Little Bear in her overalls, playing in the sunshine, and picking out a pumpkin is a good reminder not to get so caught up in life's troubles and miss out on the sweet moments.

Crafting for MaMa.

I love making things. Especially for those I love. However, every trip to the craft store has me finding fabric that I personally love, but never buy. I always talk myself out of buying it becuase I have no clue what to make for myself!

Hubby, Abi Bear, Maddie Goose, and I are packing up next week and going on vacation. I have saved up some money for special fabric shopping on this trip since we are going to be close to a gigantic Joann's store as well as one of my favorite quilt shops. So yesterday I spent a few hours on line coming up with things to make for myself!

I would love a scarf like this one made with jelly rolls, or the one in this book.

I also want the Bars of Gold Quilt from Jelly Roll Quilts.

Also love this tea wallet.

And I am debating between a few bags.

Now that I have my personally crafting to do list, it's time to buy some fabric. Can't wait!

Changes

When faced with the reality that things are not the way you want them to be you have to choices. Take the necessary steps to change the way things are, or make the necessary changes to the dream. Either way, change is necessary.

Baby Bear.

She wouldn't stit still today. Not for me. Not for the camera.

Catching up.

So I didn't blog much last due to Bear pulling half the keys of my lap top. Thanks to my brother's girlfriend for lending me her USB keyboard. Back to blogging!

Josh and I had a weekend full of fun fall activities planed but since it rained all day Saturday we opted out of the street fair and and staid up with good friends, fresh rolls and a big pot of stroganoff. YUM! In fact the week was full of good friends, good food, and good weather. Here are some pictures from the market that I didn't get a chance to post becuase of the broken computer.

Fresh veggies always taste better.

Little Bear, Little Bear where are you going?

Little Bear, Little Bear come back and play.

Fresh air kisses for Mama and Goose.
